Lightning boys’ basketball strives to help our student-athletes grow academically, physically, and spiritually.  The life skills taught throughout the basketball season will last long after their playing days are over. To ensure these exceptional experiences for our basketball team, we are asking for your support.  Why?

Our Vision Statement says we will “ensure Exceptional Experiences” in athletics.  It is a bold statement that we strive to reach every day.  You may not live close enough to support us in attending our basketball games, but your financial support is essential in helping us achieve that exceptional experience we desire for our program.

“The goal of the Boys Basketball Program at Lake Country Lutheran is bigger than just winning. We believe that the game of Basketball serves as a fantastic way to practice much greater life skills. Our goal is to teach our boys to COMPETE 323. The COMPETE 323 mindset is from Colossians 3:23, which says, ‘Whatever you do work at it with all your heart, as serving the Lord, not man.’ We strive to develop this mindset by emphasizing the following 5 values. The first value is LOVE…Love God and Love each other. The second value is SERVANTHOOD…making our teammates better. The third value is HUMILITY…knowing your role and loving your role. The fourth value is EXCELLENCE…striving to be all in all the time. The fifth value is BLESSINGS…seeing your blessings and being a blessing you others.
