Wrestling

Spartan wrestling strives to help our student-athletes grow academically, physically, and spiritually.  The life skills taught throughout the wrestling season will last long after their wrestling days are over. To ensure these exceptional experiences for our wrestling team, we are asking for your support.  Why?

Our Vision Statement says we will “ensure Exceptional Experiences” in athletics.  It is a bold statement that we strive to reach every day.  You may not live close enough to support us in attending our wrestling meets, but your financial support is essential in helping us achieve that exceptional experience we desire for our program.

This is a great opportunity for alumni, parents, and community members like you to help strengthen our program by providing the necessary funding to ensure an exceptional experience for our athletes.  All gifts, at any giving level, are appreciated and get us one step closer to our vision!

Your gift will not only provide general financial support for our program but help us secure throwing dummies and an iPad for the program.

“The boys and girls wrestling programs continue to grow in numbers and success.  We finished with our 3rd conference championship in a row (10th overall) and our 2nd Team Sectional Qualification in a row (4th overall) this past season.  We sent 4 wrestlers to the state tournament between both the boys' and girls' programs. We qualified another 7 boys for the sectional tournament.  We had over 50 boys and girls to start the season and plan on having more than that this upcoming year.  We also had 10 non-qualifiers join us at the state tournament, we had 4 adult chaperones and filled 5 rooms.  I cannot forget to mention we had two more wrestlers baptized into Christ this past season.

We want to be able to continue all of this and more, but we need your help.  We want to continue to offer the best facilities, the best coaching, and the best atmosphere that we can, and it starts with your giving.  Falling just a bit short this past season for our fundraising goal, we want to make that difference up so we can get the throwing dummies and add new Conference, Sectional, and State Boards to the wrestling room.  This allows us to start to recognize the efforts of the hard-working wrestlers of the past.  We also want to allow current and future wrestlers to have goals to shoot for.

God's love and grace are abundant and through that, we will always achieve what God has put in front of us.  May our efforts this season be pleasing to Him. God's Blessings!”
