We are made in God’s image and our God is a creator, so we, God’s creation, also have an innate drive to create. In the spirit of the God who created the universe, created us, and creates the faith we have in his Son, Jesus Christ, ML’s art program wants to create beautiful things, visually share God’s truth, and love our neighbors in the process.

Thanks to all of you who have trusted us with your sons and daughters, lifted us up in prayer, and supported our ministry financially in the past. As we move forward and work to improve the creative experience of our students, your faithful support still matters and still makes a difference.

Our biggest need is to update the Graphic Arts lab where our photography and filmmaking classes take place. We would like to eventually update the entire lab, but to start, we are looking to raise money for:

• 3 iMac Workstations – which, with all the hardware and software will cost $5,000.

Why is this our biggest need? The current computers we have are outdated and have limited creative potential. We try to equip our students with the best tools for the task at hand, and Mac labs are the preferred platform for graphic art programs and professional use. The new iMacs will:

• Allow students to creatively edit photos and videos

• Offer students less restrictions on where their imaginations can take them

• Allow more students to engage in the creative process at once

• Give students real experience with a tool that has use beyond the classroom, and...

• Help students be employable immediately after graduation. Most employers already utilize the Mac platform and students are already well versed in Mac products through iPhones, iPads, etc. Even for employers not using Macs, experience on the iMac Workstations allows students to easily transition to other PC-based programs.

Any gift at any level is appreciated and takes us one step closer to reaching our goal of creating beautiful things, sharing God’s truth, and loving our neighbor in an array of visual mediums.
